We are delighted to announce the programe of K-ART NOW! In this monthly forum, we would like to invite you to join us on the evening of the 26th November, in our conversation with artists J Roh, at the Korean Community Centre. In addition, our lead curator, Seoyoung Kim will participate in this conversation as a moderator!
K-Art Now this month, artist J Roh talks about her recent works with Seoyoung Kim, our lead curator. In her solo exhibition <Fresh made in the street>, she attempted to emphasize both physical and psychological experience she had in London, showcasing her work experience as an immigrant manual worker at Pret A Manger. The talk highlights Roh’s work revealing the identity of a modern urban citizen as an artist and an immigrant female worker.
J Roh was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1976. She graduated from Hong Ik University with B.F.A and M.F.A, South Korea, and also graduated from Chelsea college of Art with MA in 2011. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Fine Art department at Reading University, UK.
