비자 유효기간이 최대 12개월인 Standard Visitor visa > 비자

먼저 결론부터 말씀을 드리면 Standard Visitor visa는 Student visa와 달리 비자 유효 기간
은 신청 시 명시한 방문 기간만큼 발급됩니다.

따라서 입국도 이 기간 내에 해야 하기 때문에 대학에 최대한 12개월로 요청하세요.

If you want to visit for more than 6 months

All academic visits lasting longer than 6 months require a Standard Visitor visa regardless of your nationality.

You can:

• apply for a Standard Visitor visa before you travel to the UK that lasts for up to 12 months and costs £220
• visit for up to 6 months and apply to stay longer when you’re in the UK for a fee of £1,100 (you can stay up to 12 months in total)

You must meet the basic eligibility requirements for a Standard Visitor and the additional eligibility requirements for academics. You must provide any required documents that show your eligibility.

Your partner and children can apply to stay with you for up to 12 months. They can apply for a Standard Visitor visa in advance or visit for 6 months and extend their stay once in the UK.

비자와 관련된 사항이라 약간은 조심스럽지만 Standard Visitor visa 유효기간이 끝나기 전에 유럽
으로 출국해서 여행한 후에 영국으로 재입국하면서 한 번 정도는 6개월간 머무실 수 있는 무비자를
어렵지 않게 받으실 수가 있습니다.

자동입국심사제도를 이용해서 E-gate 통과하면 입국심사도 어렵지 않을 것 같구요.
