Korea Foods Company is the leader in the supply of Korean food in the UK. A family-run business, established in 1999, Korea Foods Company has over 400 employees working within its Head Office, Logistics Centres, and Retail Stores.
We import from key brands in Korea, and distribute to the Asian community, focusing on East Asian consumers. We have also seen substantial growth within the supermarket multiples, securing significant listings with Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, and Costco.
We also operate our own retail store network, currently with 18 stores within the estate, with more opening in 2024/5.
Growth has been consistently double-digit, with a sales turnover in excess of £75 million.

[Social Media Manager & Graphic Designer]
1. Title: Social Media Manager & Graphic Designer
2. Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 per annum (depending on experience; a minimum of three years’ relevant experience is required)
3. Working hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 0830 – 1800
4. Contract: Permanent, subject to 3-month probation
Main Purpose & Scope of the Job
The Social Media Manager and Graphic Designer will be responsible for successfully connecting with new audiences and engaging with the existing base through compelling social media initiatives. We’re seeking a candidate to help us to expand our digital footprint and drive new initiatives through our existing channels. They will develop and implement new content strategies, tailored to the strengths of different social media platforms, to increase awareness of Korean food, and our retail brand, Seoul Plaza.
Additionally, the candidate will be required to work on the design of other areas of the business, including retail stores, retail marketing, product design, and other promotional activities that may occur within the business.
Objectives of the Role
• Increase engagement for existing audiences with high-quality social initiatives
• Acquire new followers by filling gaps in our marketing content output
• Improve ROI through more consistent messaging and design
• Identify new channels to embed our brand or the brands we work with
• Gain insights from social data and metrics using monitoring tools
• Create designs for advertising for on and offline channels.
• Create designs for product highlights for on and offline channels.
• Support other departments with aspects such as POS design, promotional materials, design of presentations.
Key Responsibilities
• Use social media and other tools to create and release content to our social channels
• Become an extension of the company’s brand to connect with existing customers, and acquire new ones
• Create and adapt the company’s social strategy
• Stay up to date with new and emerging trends to help keep our social media presence consistently relevant
• Establish key performance indicators to understand efficacy of existing social campaigns and adjust strategy for further optimisations
Skills and Qualifications
• Significant management and leadership experience
• Extensive knowledge of a variety of current social media platforms
• Excellent problem-solving techniques
• Strong multitasking capabilities under pressure
• Ability to work on their own without supervision
• Clear, confident communication abilities
• Effective time-management skills
Preferred qualifications
• Significant experience leading a brand’s social media initiatives
• Keen understanding of how to craft effective social media strategies
• Strong familiarity with computers, email clients, and project management software
• Experience with social media tools
• Full capability of photoshop, videography and video editing, use of fonts, typography, colour theory.

1. Title: Junior Designer
2. Salary: £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
3. Working hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 0830 – 1800

Main Purpose & Scope of the Job
The Junior Graphic Designer will work closely with the lead graphic designer to provide relevant graphic design solutions across digital and print media.
This will incorporate many areas of the business, including retail stores, retail marketing, product design, and other promotional activities that may occur within the business.
Objectives of the Role
• Create designs for advertising for on and offline channels.
• Create designs for product highlights for on and offline channels.
• Support other departments with aspects such as POS design, promotional materials, design of presentations.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop engaging, commercial and on-brand designs for print collateral, including catalogues, in-store POS, and other designs. This includes developing the look and feel of layout and imagery whilst always keeping a close eye on detail and with target customers in mind
• Create assets for email, web, social media, display, and other mediums by which we communicate with our customers.
• Work with the wider creative team to translate marketing collateral to digital assets for online use (e.g. local marketing, blog posts, competitions)
• Ensure all digital assets are on brand, commercial and aligned with wider brand communications
• Close attention to detail across artwork and imagery
• Working cross functionally to assist design for seasonal creative campaigns suitable for all marketing channels which fit the brand position and creative strategy
• Involvement in seasonal concepts and idea creation
• Good knowledge of digital and print design.
• Prepare print ready files across POS, and in-store displays
• Able to present work to directors confidently and always being on top of timelines and deadlines
Skills and Qualifications

• Strong multitasking capabilities under pressure
